To Create a Physical Item with Engineering Designer Plugin Installed

You can create a physical item using a template, in ALIM Web.

Follow these steps to create a physical item.

  1. From the ALIM Web Home Page, click Physical Items from the Create new card. For example,

    The Create a Physical Item page appears. For example,

  2. Select a physical item template and then click Next.
    Tip: You can filter templates by entering information in the Name, Description, and/or Classification boxes.
    The Create Physical Item wizard advances to the next step. For example,
  3. Do the following:
    1. Accept or enter a new Version number
    2. Select a Manufacturer from the list
    3. Search for or enter a Model number
    Note: These fields are required.
  4. Click Next to advance the wizard to the Properties page. For example,
  5. Complete all relevant information on the template.
  6. When you are finished, click Save.
The physical item is created.
